EnBW awards CONECON to build the largest PV-plant in Baden-Württemberg

EnBW, one of the leading energy companies in Germany, has awarded CONECON, a global player in the renewable energy sector, to build the largest photovoltaic system in Baden-Württemberg. The official Ground Breaking ceremony for the project took place on March 4, 2024, in the presence of representatives from EnBW and politics.

The planned photovoltaic system will have an installed capacity of approximately 80 megawatts peak (MWp) and is expected to produce enough electricity to power around 30,000 households with clean energy. This is an important contribution to reducing CO2 emissions and advancing the energy transition.

CONECON will be responsible for project management and the entire construction of the PV system. The company has extensive experience in building solar power plants and has already completed a variety of successful projects worldwide. Through collaboration with EnBW, CONECON will contribute to advancing the vision of sustainable energy generation in Baden-Württemberg.

"We are very excited about the opportunity to collaborate with EnBW on this project," said Dipl.-Ing. Matthias Belz, CSO of CONECON.

The photovoltaic system is expected to be operational by mid-next year and will make an important contribution to meeting the region's increasing energy demand. EnBW and CONECON are confident that the project will have a positive impact on the local economy and the environment.
